Cami Ostman

FREE GIFT – One reason writers get stuck halfway through writing a first draft or get mired down in revisions is they aren’t clear about what drives their hero/ine. If you don’t know what your hero/ine is looking for, longing for, needing, asking, or aiming for, it’s hard to know which scenes to include in the narrative and even harder to know how to develop your THEMES. This exercise will help you get clarity about what is driving your main character. Interpret the sentence stems literally or metaphorically (or both). Write the answers that come to you first. Work fast. Try to complete each of these sentences in 30 seconds before moving to the next. Set a timer if that helps prevent you from overthinking.
